What a marvelous story! I can't wait to read the rest! When Melody's dad tried to kiss her and have a little fun on the side with her, as she tried to get him off of her, his lips seemed as though they were glued to her mouth and suddenly he slipped to the floor dead! At seventeen, she was afraid and fled to the city where she met Robbie. As the years went on he kept her in the house more and more. I liked that Melody finally stood up for herself and returned home knowing that her mom hated her but there was no other place to go. I liked Noah from the start, but I had hoped that he was not like Robbie, but would be good for Melody as she deserved some happiness.
This is a fun and very well-written book. It is great to read urban fantasy set in New Zealand with uniquely New Zealand aspects. I'm looking forward to reading more about Kotahi Bay and its denizens.
Wonderfully written. Truly a great book, awesome storyline that pulls you in right from the start and leaves you wanting more.
I really enjoy JC Harts writing and she just keeps getting better. Wanted Book 2 as soon as I'd finished book 1, and that is a good indication for me of quality writing. Also enjoy this genre.
HUGE J.C. Hart fan. I just love her work so much and this book does not faily to disapoint. My only complaint is I want more IMMEDIATELY!
